Making Mountain Dew Apple Dumplings is far easier than it sounds. The secret is in the name – using Mountain Dew soda! Now I know not everyone loves soda because of the sugar content but trust me, you’ll want some for this recipe.

– Preheat an oven. – Prepare a baking dish by spraying with baking spray. – Add the butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a small saucepan set over low heat and cook until the butter has melted and combined with the sugar and cinnamon, set aside to cool while you finish preparing the dumplings.

– Cut each apple into wedges. Remove the seeds and peel. – Roll each apple slice with a piece of crescent dough. – Place the covered apples into the prepared pan, leaving some space between the pieces.

– Spoon the melted butter mixture over all of the dumplings.

– Gently pour the soda around the dumplings, trying not to pour it on top of the dumplings.

– Place into the preheated oven and cook until the apples are tender.

– Remove from the oven and serve.
