Homemade Sweet Cornbread is served with just about everything in the deep south.  Most Southerners prefer their cornbread, the same as their tea. SWEET!

1-3

– Preheat oven. – Prepare a 9-inch pie pan by spraying with baking spray. Set aside. – Mix cornmeal and buttermilk in a small bowl and set aside. 

4-6

– In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well. – Add eggs and vegetable oil to buttermilk and cornmeal. Mix well. – Add wet mixture to dry ingredients.

7-9

– Mix just until lumps disappear. – Pour into pie pan. – Place into preheated oven.

10-12

– Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out clean. – Remove from oven. – Serve warm with butter and honey.
