1
griddle
Ingredients
2
flour tortillas
or 1 flour burrito
1
tablespoon
salted butter
softened
½
cup
melting cheese
Instructions
Preheat a griddle over medium-high heat.
Spread half of the butter on one side of each tortilla.
2 flour tortillas,
1 tablespoon salted butter
Place one tortilla, butter side down, sprinkle the cheese evenly over the tortilla.
½ cup melting cheese
Top with the second tortilla, butter side up.
Cook until the cheese has started to melt and the bottom tortilla has turned golden brown in spots, or until it cooked to your desired doneness.
Flip the quesadilla and continue cooking until the cheese is completely melted and browned to your liking.
Remove from the heat and place onto a cutting board and cut into 4 pieces.
Serve hot with your favorite toppings and sauces.
Notes
You may not use all of the butter.
Soft corn tortillas can be used.
Oaxaca, Monterey Jack, cheddar, quesadilla cheese, Mexican cheese blend, and mozzarella all work well.
