Ingredients
32ouncesfrozen hash brownsdiced
16ouncessour cream2 cups
8bacon slices
1packet dry ranch dressing mix
2cupsshredded cheddar cheesedivided
Instructions
Preheat an oven to 350⁰F.
Prepare a 9 X 13 baking dish by coating it with baking spray.
Cook the bacon in a skillet until brown and crispy. Remove from the pan and place on paper towels to drain.
Once the bacon is cool, chop it into small pieces and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the hash browns, sour cream, bacon piece, ranch dressing mix, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
Cover the baking dish with foil and place it into a preheated oven and cook for 45 minutes.
Remove the foil from the pan, cover with the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese and continue baking for 15 minutes or until the cheese on the top has completed melted and started to bubble.
Remove from the oven and serve.
Notes
More bacon can be used to top the casserole during the last 15 minutes of baking.1 packet of dry ranch dressing mix is equal to 3 tablespoons if using a larger container.
