Daiquiri Ice
Refreshing lime and rum-flavored sorbet just like old school Bakin Robbins.

- Ice Cream Maker
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup white sugar
- Juice from 1 large lime
- 1 teaspoon rum extract
- ½ teaspoon citric acid powder food grade
- 1 drop green food coloring
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients into a saucepan. Heat to boiling and boil until all sugar is dissolved. Place in refrigerator until chilled.
- Follow ice cream machine manufacturer’s directions to freeze.
Notes
This can be made with a sugar substitute, follow manufacturer directions for timing on the addition of your chosen sweetener. This will alter the consistency.
For a stronger rum flavor, add rum extract after the mixture has cooled.
