lbs.
ground beef
we prefer ground chuck
1/2
white or yellow onion
diced
1
cup
barbeque sauce
we like Sweet Baby Rays
1/4
cup
ketchup
2
tbsp.
yellow mustard
1
tbsp.
Worcestershire sauce
1
tsp.
garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Cook ground beef in a skillet or saucepan until browned and cooked through.
Add the onion to the beef and continue to brown until the ground beef has crispy brown edges and the onions are translucent.
Add the barbeque sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder and stir.
Bring to a simmer and heat through.
Notes
A tablespoon or two of brown sugar can be added for a sweeter sloppy joe.
