S’mores Dip is an amazing treat that is the perfect way to bring the warmth and fun of summer evenings around a campfire indoors. Served with a variety of dippers that let everyone create their own perfect bite.

It’s served in a warm skillet that’s filled with melted chocolate and toasted marshmallows and it offers the classic taste of s’mores with less mess, and you don’t have to stand in the smoke to get your toasted marshmallow fix. Use it as the centerpiece of a unique dessert charcuterie board with a variety of dippers like graham crackers, salty pretzel sticks, refreshing fruit slices, and your favorite cookies.

Ingredients
Chocolate candy bars – like Hershey’s minis or use your favorite brand of chocolate. The crew kind of likes Dove chocolate, but it’s not as wallet friendly. You’ll need about 5 ounces of candy bars.
Mini marshmallow – We like mini marshmallow because they are easier to spread out evenly in the pan. If you only have large marshmallows, you can cut them in half and place the sticky side down, your marshmallow layer is going to be a lot thicker than ours and may take a bit longer to softened completely.
Dippers – The crew here prefers traditional graham crackers, pretzels, cookies, and fresh fruit. But, choices are only limited to your imagination. Oreo s’mores seems to be the latest fad, we will be trying those at our next party.

Easy Instructions
1 – Start by setting your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Grab an 8-9 inch skillet and arrange the chocolate bars evenly on the bottom of the pan. For an added chocolate boost, sprinkle some chocolate chips over the candy bars.

2 – Next, create a layer of mini marshmallows on top of the chocolate. Make sure to spread them out so that they cover the entire bottom of the skillet.

3 – Once your oven is preheated, place the skillet into the preheated oven and bake for about 8-10 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when the marshmallows turn golden and start to puff up. Keep a close eye on the oven to prevent the marshmallows from burning, as they can quickly go from golden brown to burnt.

4 – When your s’mores dip is ready, it’s time to dig in!

What if I Don’t Have a Skillet?
That’s OK. you can use an oven-safe baking dish instead. If you have a glass casserole, that would be our second choice because it seems easier to clean.
Can I Make This Dip Ahead of Time?
You can prepare the dip in advance, but we would wait until you’re ready to serve it before baking. If you want to prepare your charcuterie board before hand, we would put the fruit on and hold it in the refrigerator (make sure you leave room in the center for your skillet, then add the crackers, pretzels, and cookies just before serving to keep those crispy.
Can I Use Different Types of Chocolate?
Absolutely! You can experiment with various types of chocolate, such as milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or even flavored chocolates like mint or caramel. We have even used filled chocolate candy like Dove with caramel filling. It all melts beautifully!
Can I Add Toppings?
Sure! Consider adding crushed graham crackers, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or even a warmed bottle of caramel sauce.
What Are Some Suggested Dippers for the S’Mores Dip?
Our favorite dippers include graham crackers, pretzels, fresh fruit slices, and cookies. Our favorite cookies are Nilla wafers and Biscoff cookies. You might even try some adding some Oreos to hop on the Oreo S’mores fad before it goes viral. Like all things in our kitchens, feel free to get creative and add anything you like. Our directions for building the charcuterie board are based on our favorites, just adjust the directions to use your favorites.
