Tutorial Available for Making Frozen Spiked Ice Pops
As with all of our other frozen cocktail, a tutorial can be found here.
While you increase the amount of liquid in the recipe, we do not suggest increasing the alcohol because it will not freeze as solid.
For more information on that subject, please refer to the How to Make Spiked Slushsicles and Ice Pops Post.
For Frozen Spiked Pink Lemonade Margaritas I use a powdered lemonade mix.
One because it is handy and two, we would never drink enough pink lemonade to justify buying or making a full batch of homemade pink lemonade just for making margarita pops, and three, I can add more lemonade flavoring without watering down the alcohol.
How to Freeze Ice Pops
The one biggest question folks have about all of our frozen drink recipes is how do you get in into the sleeves.
Easy, we use Zipzicles that we order from Amazon in 100 packs.
Make sure you freeze any recipe standing in a cup until frozen.
Once ice pops are frozen, it is safe to lay them on their sides.
I do recommend using a freezer baggie or container for the slushier ice pops.
They have been known to leak a bit when laid on the side. It is just better to be safe than a cleaning sticky oozy partially frozen mess!
Cook time listed includes a 24 hour rest in freezer. Do not store laying down until frozen. Give ice pop 24 hours in upright position first. ★ Did you make this recipe? Don't forget to give it a star rating below!
